Chest holsters

What chest holsters does anyone use when they are out hiking or horseback? Looking for advice. Its holding a 10mm S&W m&p

You using stock iron sights? Or red dot? -- quite a few options for iron sights, red dot sights start to limit the options

Galco Great Alaskan shoulder holster list for $300 and sell for around $200 bucks, are pretty decent for 1911 types. They're pretty adjustable to fit layers of gear, can"t go fa wrong with Galco hides.

I use a Kenai chest holster for a Kimber 1911 in 10mm. I like it. Cans still wear pack with no issue

A quality cross-chest carry! The handgun is very secure, easily available, most activities are easily accomplished while wearing, makes carry of large, heavy handguns more practical/comfortable……many of the above not possible with waist/hip carry!

I have a Diamond D for my S&W 329 and am going to order one for my Springfield Ronin. Works as it should.

So I'm kinda picky but also "frugal". I've actually found a IWB holster to work for me. I wear bibs and a coat when I hunt so I can clip the holster at the top of the bibs dead center of my chest. It sits inside and the butt of the pistol sticks out the top. Easily accessible by just unzipping the coat a few inches or out of the weather with it zipped up. Granted, I do not carry a big heavy revolver, but i think I'd carry something like an Alaskan there.

Just curious but did you get the leather or nylon rig ? And if you did purchase the leather ? Did it come with metal or plastic buckles & snaps ?
