Hey everyone,
Ive got a few questions about changing stocks on my Savage 10 BA Stealth 6.5.
I want to start using this gun for a long range hunting rig, as it shoots awesome and I'm really enjoying shooting my 6.5 over my 300s. I would love to make it a little more hunting friendly.
It's currently in the Drake MDT/Savage chassis, but I want to go with a more standard stock design and get away from the chassis.
Greyboe is coming out with Savage stocks this summer (per email with owner) and I really think I want to go this route. I plan on going with the Renegade.
I really don't care to make my rifle super lightweight, I like the tactical/hunting collab stocks better than the standard hunting style stocks. Similar to a manners or mcmillan.
What would be involved with switching stocks from the chassis to a fiberglass stock? Would I need to purchase a bottom metal I assume, or not since it already uses a DBM.
Is there a market to buy the chassis and buttstock if I do end up switching?
Thanks so much and I apologize in advance for the barrage of questions
Alex
