I bought a new Cooper Model 52 300 Win Mag and a Nightforce 4-16 x42 F1 scope. It came Warne bases and I used Nightforce medium height rings. As I've been sighting in the scope and developing loads, I noticed the spent case wouldn't clear the receiver. It hits the windage cap on the scope and settles back in the breech. I just got a Ken Farrel 20 MOA pic rail. After installing the new pic rail, it appears this hasn't solved this issue. Has anyone had this issue? The larger tube and windage knob seems to be an issue. Will I need to use taller rings...how high can I go to solve this without creating a sighting problem?
