I have a 300wsm in CA ridgeline its become my go to rifle for everything almost. Although I have a long love affair with the 7RM.

If that's your goal then good on you for abandoning the 6.5
With a med action you can custom throat a 300 wsm and get some **** good velocities with 200-210 grain bullets.
I'd highly recommend checking out the 200 grain Edge TLR, or whatever it's soon to be replacement is.
