Can you tell a difference between Conquest and Victory?

I have had a 6.5-20x50 Conquest for a few years. I was in need of a scope and picked up a Victory 3-12x56. To tell the truth I cannot tell a difference between the two. I do not regret the victory purchase but do not know if I will be spending the extra money for no reason. The victory is crystal clear, but I cannot tell a difference. Is there something I am missing?

PS- what is the point of the reticle getting larger when you zoom in?

Well if nobody can tell the difference then why pay 2x the amount? Guess it is going to classifieds.
