Can we do a recovered bullet pic thread?

I like debates on performance like any gun nut, but I like pictures and data more. Let's keep this one focused on the latter.

List the bullet, weight/caliber, recovered weight, approximate impact velocity, and any other pertinent data along with pictures (obviously.)

150gr BDII from a 7 SAUM. 540 yard impact, impact velocity approx 2260 fps, recovered under the far side hide of a bull elk. Recovered weight ~140 grains.

You're mostly right, but not every bullet gets recovered.

I think the thread is a good idea, but I have only recovered one bullet in all of the animals that I have shot. Always had pass through shots with lots of blood loss.

Was a 142LRAB from 65284 at 2950mv.....hit a sandstone next to the dog....

These are recovered accubonds from my accumark 30-378 Weatherby. These were recovered from elk, the heaviest was shot at 518 yds on a 6×7 bull, the second heaviest at 340 yds and the lightest at 150 yds. The original bullet wt was 200 grns. From heaviest to lightest they weighed 142.2, 130.6, and
117.5 grns. They leave the barrel at approx 3200 + fps. Knock on wood, I have never had to chase down an animal. They are propelled by 98 grns of H1000 powder. I have been killing deer and or elk since 2006 with this rifle. Love it. Most times the bullets pass through so no bullets to recover.

One single 199 hammer out of 19 animals. Hard quarter too through shoulder of wildebeest and found under hide at 350 yards.

Impact velocity of around 2200 fps

Hey, here's two Barnes 270gr TSX, 375 H&H recovered from a brown bear. One went through both shoulders and the other went almost length wise. The bear was spinning like a top.

That's what mine was, though it only went through an elk……end to end! memtb

Berger 156 EOL out of a 6.5 PRC, sheep at 250 yards with velocity of 2650 (muzzle is 2950), found in the offside shoulder after going into the front shoulder, broadside. Busted the front leg so it was worthless and he went down 10 ft from where he was shot. Insides were jelly but we did gutless and didn't open him up.

Diameter is .870 at widest and .468 at about a 90* angle from there. Bullet worked perfectly and weighs 49.1 grains with probably a few grains of tissue buried in the crevices.

6.5-284 Berger 140 HVLD muzzle velocity 3020 fps, 200 yards 150" ND Whitetail. Broadside shot high shoulder and clipped spine. Found on offside just under the hide. 20 grains total. A little lead and base of jacket is all I found. Deer didn't even twitch.
