Quick Question: can I expect to be able to use 165 SGK and SMK 168 and have the same zero or holdover at distance? Got enough of both and would like to use them for target/steel and hunting out of the same rifle (sighted in for the 165's). Or is this crazy talk?

Thanks.

Yep, probably crazy talk!:D

The SGK BC is .404 while the SMK is .462

rarely but sometimes occasionaly will the POIs seem to coincide at 100 yds, very doubtful at 300 plus.

Shoot and see, but do not bet on it. If it does, whoop and holler.

I'm a little new at this but I'm trying to do the same thing.

Using the above coefficients, if you can launch the SGK at 2680fps and the SMK at 2650fps they will match out to 400 yards and at 500 the the GK drops 2".

Can someone verify my results? Hopefully I did this right.

Before you go figuring the drops, shoot them and see IF they have the same POI. I am talking not only up and down but left and right.

different bullets will often have much different POIs that would never match, no matter what the drop.
