My friend acquired this gun and wanted me to help figure out what it is worth. From what I can tell, its a mauser m98 that was imported by Century Arms International at some point and they put the sporterized stock on it. I googled it and didn't find much, about the only place I found the exact gun was a lone for sale ad on armslist.
He wants to sell it but wants to ask a fair price where it will sell easily with both sides feeling as if it was a fair deal. That's the way he is. I hoped someone here might know a little about these.
It is chambered in .270 and the pics show exactly what I know about it.

Oh, and my camera takes bad pics sometimes where there is a burnt orange type rust look where there isn't. The pics make it look rusty on the end of the bolt, but I didn't notice any when I was handling it.
