I recently posted an ad where I listed a pack and some ammo that I was interested in possibly trading. One person contacted me about the ammo, but I decided against it because of what I felt like were two equally valid reasons. The first was, the person only had one post on this forum and seemed to have signed up specifically to respond to my ad, the other reason, was the person was from California.

I am not prejudiced against people from California (unless they want to move here), but, and it's a big BUT, due to recent legislation, I am not sure about sending anything gun related out there. According to what I've been reading recently, California residents now have to go through a background check by their local FFL to even by ammo. I'm assuming that means, if I were to do a trade with him on the ammo I have, I would have to send it to an FFL in California, who would then record all of my info, as it came from me, and then he would also get his cut in the deal too. Then, there is always the risk that the person on the other end isn't allowed, for whatever reason, to take possession of the ammo and then I am stuck with shipping it back.

It seems like there are too many things that could go wrong. I'm also wondering if there are possible repercussions for a private individual trying to ship a regulated item into a state that is now coming down so hard on anything firearm related. Am I over thinking this???

From what I read the new ammo laws in Kommiefornia won't go into effect until 2019. I will be outta this state by that time.

I don't think even reloading will be legal by the time they stomp on our gun rights.

All bird and small game hunting with shotguns now requires non-lead ammo.

Want to experience communism/one party rule. Move to Kommiefornia/nirvana and you too can experience the joy and bliss of socialism.
