Ok, I sent back an Elite 3200 3x9 that had a power ring problem. This was on a 52 year old Savage 110 used just for normal hunting 300 yards and in local stuff. Old scope, though I did register it many many years ago. Sent it back 2+ weeks ago and today a 3x12x44 Nitro 300MM shows up as a warranty replacement. Came with lens caps, sun shield, cleaning cloths. 90 MOA not bad. The speed of addressing a warranty request was a pleasant surprise!
So it is easy to bash manufacturers but here is a case they stood behind their lifetime no question warranty and couldn't be happier.
