FYI recently I began reloading some Nosler Accubond Long Range ( 150 gr) in my Win 270. While I was seating the bullets I noticed the bullet seating mandrel was leaving a crimping circle on the bullet just passed the plastic tip. I was using Lee dies, so I switched to RCBS but got the same result. I did a bit of fooling around and discovered that a RCBS 25-06 seating mandrel solved the problem. Soooo if any of you are having this problem it will cost you a set of RCBS dies for a 25-06, remove the mandrel and install it in the the RCBS 270 bullet seating die and you'll be all set.

You could also take a bullet coated with a little bit of lapping compound and insert in the seating mandrel and polish the mandrel to solve this problem. Also, a VLD seating mandrel would typically solve this problem.
