Brass juice? Any good?

Tried it, imo the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I've tried them all, keep going back to plain hot water, dawn, and lemishine. Biggest improvement was when I switched from pins to SS chips. I only tumble 30 mins which gets them clean without dinging and shot peening my case mouths. Pins would also get stuck in flash holes and stack up tight in some cases. They were a big PITA to remove, especially 223 and 270WSM

Where do you get chips?

I bought mine from Southern Sunshine media. It comes dirty and must be washed with simple green before you use it on your brass. It also has a small amount of random carbon steel chips that will oxidize and rust out after a couple washings. It does not affect cleaning. This media is not as magnetic as the pins so I use the FA media separator to spin off the chips. There is a new supplier I have not used that sends clean chips that they claim are magnetic. I have not verified the claim but here is a link.

I think I've got 5lbs of SS pins in my Rebel tumbler. The do get stuck in the necks of .264 cases.
Just curious - how many pounds of chips did you buy? Did it seem like the proper quantity or does more/less look right?

brass juice is awesome . i use it with 3mm ceramic non abrasive media. found media on ebay. does not stick in case or primer pockets . i reuse the solution 3-5 times cleaning up to 1000 rounds of brass,,

Brass juice and I have ditched the stainless pins. Just water and Brass Juice works for me.

I added 3 shape jeweler's mix to my pins - chips, BBs, and these weird little UFO looking shapes. I had big pins to start so nothing ever got stuck in the cases. The shapes cut or polish in different ways, the mix seems to get it done the quickest.

I may have to try 5lbs of the stainless chips. I don't like how my case mouths dent and the cases peen so bad. That non-abrasive ceramic media looks interesting too.

I want to say I'm using 5lbs of the stainless pins in my large FA rotary tumbler.

@venatic are you saying you don't use any media at all? Just water and brass juice?

10ml of citranox works great in my FA tumbler. Cleans pockets and carbon great. A little goes a long way and I dont have to have bottles of other stuff on the shelf
