Saw some Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and Bookers yesterday. Just couldn't let myself spend the money on it.
The double Oaked is good.

I have been aging different blends in a chard oak barrels with great luck. Latest batch is Old Forester 86 and Old Grandad 114. Age for about 4 weeks and enjoy. That mellows it out and makes it so smooth....too smooth if you know what I mean.

Blanton's & Buffalo Trace are about the only two I keep around. I'm not much of a connoisseur by any means, just like to have a glass with a cigar on the weekends.
It's interesting how Blanton's is hard for most to find but in two small towns in my area they generally get 4-6 bottles every other shipment. $75 a bottle

The Bourbon Trail in KY is awesome. Your wallet will probably take a hit if you like good bourbon. Every bar we went to in Louisville was well stocked and happy to over serve you. My inexpensive option these days is Buffalo Trace followed by Elijah Craig. Blantons and Weller are my go to for special occasions, but I seem to find too many special occasions lately. The Bardstown tour will blow your mind on the sheer size of the operation.
