Other than reloading manuals, ive never read a book on long range shooting or hunting.
And i am an avid reader.
I was fortunate in that i had mentors, some of whom were both 1000 yd target shooters and long range hunters.
And even more important was the fact that i had an excellent place to shoot out to any distance.
My kids were doing it at a very young age, simply because they could.
learning how to hit rocks on a hillside at 4 to 6 hundred yards with a 22 mag is a very good teacher for a kid of any age.
