Bolt face swap question??

So im just wondering if i can switch out the small bolt face on my savage 12 in .223, with a standard short action bolt face? Is it that easy to do or is the bolt body different as well making it impossible. Basically im looking to make my 223 into a .260 rem and wondering if my short action will accommodate a standard bolt face. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, it is really simple to do. Change the baffle, and if you want a repeatet, the mag box and follower.
