That scrap barrel would make a nice candidate for a 28 Nosler build.....

Yeah I'm gonna keep it. Not sure I'd do another Nosler. Had one, it shot really well but just never took a liking to it. I'll have enough tenon on it to set it back .400 and either rechamber in 284 win or make a 280 ackley out of it.

With the rebated rim of the 284 it's currently chambered for, I doubt it'll clean up for the Ackley without lopping a lot off

Maybe so have to Ck and see. I'd go back with another 284 if so over a Nosler or other. I really really like the cartridge and have had great success with it until this one
