I'm planning on getting a BL 22 lever action,I want to keep it open sight but might put a red dot scope or a tactical sight. Iv never really used one whats a good make and model? Looking at spending around $500 or less I just plan on having this as a play around gun.

Yes they are.. but if I had a choice I'd find a Win 9422... the Winchesters of which I own a couple'.., in 22 lr and 22 Win Mag can be bolt rifle accurate.
