Bipod question again

Since no one responded to the MDT Oryx bipod thread maybe someone will respond to this one. How is the MDT GRND-POD?
About $200 is all my budget will allow. I can't afford $300+ for a bipod.

I love mine. It's my primary for the AR10.

I have one. Works great just doesn't have the bells and whistles. But functionally its great and its well built.

It's ok. I really like how it functions and it's light, but for the money it costs it seems like it should be nicer. It feels loose/sloppy to me.

Im kind of in the same boat as you. Right now, Tricer has 20% off their gift cards. You can get a $300 card for $240. Then save up some cash and buy their bipod for about $60 more when you are ready. Unless you need the bipod right away. This is probably what I am going to do.

Tighten it up with the screws inside the legs.

I just got the Tricer RP for hunting purposes and it is worth the wait to save up the extra coin. The GRND-POD would be fine if you don't have to shoot over stuff though.

@Clem Bronkoski I have had both the oryx and the grnd pod. I would save the extra money and get the oryx. IMO you don't get enough additional feature with the grnd pod to justify twice the price. I will say it somewhat depends on application but if you're primarily using this as a range bipod and maybe some hunting prone, I would still get the oryx.

I'd either go with an Atlas or put more towards an AccuTac or CkyePod or Tricer

It's more a field bipod than competition. I have Atlas CAL, Super CAL, Harris. The GRND is light, fast to set up/deploy. Been great shooting off the SXS hood & roof at running packs of hogs.
