Ok I was going to build a 280 Sherman but am think about going to a 7ss would I be able to do this off a Bighorn Origin action? The reasoning behind this is I could double this up as two guns could be my big game rifle and my predator rifle. The Bighorn action uses small shank savage threads is controlled round feed. Or would I just be better off going with an trusty Remington 700 and have it trued up.

If you have a Remington I would go that route. If you buy an action I would buy custom.

I love my Origin...going to buy another soon...
Buy the Origin The are a very nice action well worth the money. I will never again buy a factory action and have to spend money to accurize it.

Hope this is not too far off topic but how do the popular customs, in general, if that is even possible to generalize, compare to the Tikka/Sako action? I have a T3 for my 6.5 SS and that thing is by far the smoothest action I have ever used, but then I've never used any custom.
