Has anyone shot VLD's in a Weatherby?
Berger suggest the VLD's being seated on the lands.
I wouldn't think that would be wise with WBY's freebore?

I shoot the 210's in 2 different 30-378's one is a stock accumark, the other has a 30" HS barrel with free bore. I also shoot the 190's in my 300 with a stock accumark barrel. Seat them as long as your mag box will allow. They shoot great in my rifles.

tonypro,

Eric Stecker of Berger bullets has said that although VLD's shoot great seated to the lands they also can be seated off and shoot just as well.
I have found that in my 300WSM the 185's shoot great at .025 off , they also will fit and cycle through the magazine even with the abrupt shoulder . I shoot with some other guys that are getting great results at about the same seating depth in multiple calibers ( .223, 22-250 and 6.5X55 Swede ).
So I would say that if you started at .020 off and stepped out ot .030 off you should find a sweet spot.
