I have two rifles, both 6.5 Creedmoor, that Jon Beanland built for me and they are the best shooting rifles I have ever had. His work and customer service are simply without peer.

My match rifle is a Shilen DGR action with a Bartlein M24 contour barrel in a McMillan A6. Groups like this one are pretty common.

My hunting rig is a Bighorn Origin with a #3 Bartlein in a McMillan Adjustable Game Scout. On one of those rare occasions when the wind was relatively calm here, I did a little load development at 500 yards. Five 5-shot groups from five different loads averaged .555 MOA at 500 yards. From a barrel that light, that is simply outstanding.

The next day, I took the best load from 500 and put it on paper at 100. It was pretty gusty that morning and my portable bench was wobbling pretty good but it still gave me this five shot group.

Nobody builds a rifle better than Beanland.

I agree. He is the best in my opinion. I have another 22 Dasher he built me. It is by far the most accurate rifle I've ever owned. Wish I would have had it contoured bigger lol. Kinda hard to compete with a brux #5!

I'm going to send him a 45cal blank. Everyone needs a .25moa muzzleloader! Haha

This was fire forming 22 Dasher brass. I thought The two dots off paper were shots 2 & 3. I was about to just start flinging them in the dirt but #4 opened up the group. That's 5 shots at 100 in 20mph wind. The 3rd picture is 6 shots immediately after shot by my friend. We couldn't believe it

@Nowoolies exactly my reaction!
G'day Westex
I have never see a action with the bolt on one side and ejection port on the other is this neat action something Jon Beenland came up with , is it your idea or ,or is it a Big Horne idea ??? Just very curious
The action in my avatar is a Big Horne TL3 But nowhere as fancy as yours fanflamingtastic ,
The stock is that composite, timber , or laminate?? Sorry pictures not doing the stock any favours, but looks great
Cheers
Paul

@Nowoolies the choice to go with a RBLP (right bolt left port) was my decision. In the fclass and benchrest world this configuration is pretty common. When shooting from a bench or prone the left port allows me to single feed rounds with my left hand and it also allows me to catch or grab my brass. Bighorn offers RBLP and LBRP on all TL3 and SR3 actions.

The stock is made out of Micarta. It's a very hard and dense material with many uses but most commonly used to make knife handles. If you look closely you can see the layers of fabric used to make the stock. Foundation hand finishes all stocks
