I have searched all over the internet and cannot find a ballistic coefficient of a lead cast, round nosed, 540 grain paper patch bullet. I am doing a physics project on the movie quigley down under. Anyone have any clue what a bullet of this shape and weight would roughly be? I am thnking around .2-.3? Thanks!

Go to buffaloarms.com get their phone# and talk to someone there.

I only have one bullet handy, 540gr creedoor that has a b.c. of .401. That is a grease groove bullet. You need the b.c. for a paper patch bullet, which is higher due to the smooth sides. IIRC they are somewhere around .5-.52 depending on the nose profile.

That is a nifty calculator, never seen it before. With just a couple of tries I matched my sight settings to 1000yds.

It could use a column with the results in MOA to make it faster to use.
