I have been waiting on my scope to ship. (SWFA 10x44 Mil\Mil) Well I have been with out at scope. And it is getting at me. I have been looking and I think that if it hasn't shipped by next thurs. Im goin to order there new 3x15x44 NON HD.

Well I was doin some looking (being impaitient) and I was wondering about the bushnell scopes. I found a used one in my price budget.

It is a 3x12x44 elite tactical mil\mil. everything is prety much the same. as far as tube diameter. FFP. objective lenses, just wanting some imput I will put the links to both scope up so you may look your self.

bushnell Bushnell 3-12x44 Elite Tactical 30mm Rifle Scope

SWFA http://swfa.com/SWFA-SS-3-15x42-Tactical-Rifle-Scope-P62238.aspx

the only thing that is making me think about this is that people rave about how good these SWFA scopes and how clear they are.

just wondering if I am goin to be getting anymore glass for my money or no? I know I would be if it was HD model in the SWFA but not sure about the NON HD model.

I have owned bushnell and have loved everyone I have owned and never had any problems ever with them. EVER!

just looking on some imput from people who use these for long range hunting/shooting. THIS IS MY FIRST DEDICATED LONG RANGE RIFLE SCOPE OF THIS CALIBER (price).

IF you have suggestions please dont be afraid to post. Need Some guidence. also if this helps This will be goin on a 7mm WSM then maybe to a 6.5 creedmoor. depends on how I like it. IT will be used for target shooting and coyote hunting wanting variable zoom, would like a 30mm tube, and a Mil dot ret. in FFP for range finding.

Like I said IF you have suggestions please let me know and why..

EDIT: Price would be a great help when suggesting. please keep at $800 or so.

Thanks a bunch

Dont know about the Bushnell..??....but I went and looked at the other..the SWFA. For that kind of money Id buy a Zeiss Conquest...without a doubt

I have really been looking at the ziess conquest also but it's a 1" tube not the 30mm, mil/moa not mil/mil, and I'm not sure if it is FFP I would say it is SFP otherwise they prolly would have stated it was FFP.

The 1" tube I could Live with but the mil/moa and SFP are the really big points against it. Mainly the SFP as this will be used for ranging.

Please correct me if I'm missing something!!

Thanks shifty

I don't know how important weight is to you, but the new vortex pst 2-10x32 has a lot of features you're after in a small package. Swfa isn't known for the best glass, but it is serviceable. Between the two I would definitely go swfa. That scope may very well go up in value over the next two years.

Not concerned about weight I'm 25 and phiscally fit. So you would say the vortex viper pst has more bag for the buck. and better glass than the swfa?

I favor mil system, and I would wait and get the ss because of the higher power, not familar with unit but have the 5-20 SS.I would not go Ziess cross hairs are thicker, not mil,not fp,and not near the adjustment range in elevation

So you think that the SWFA has a better glass than the vortex? I have seen alot of people say the vortex is also excellent optics for the money.

Recently I have been thinking prety hard on here about vortex. I have seen guys on here have a couple here in there sig. and they love them.

Just a big decision and want to make sure it is the right one. Thanks for your help
