Rumor control that I have heard recently here in panhandle of Idaho. Is no one is buying wolf hides do to some kind of worms or a parasite that is in the hides or under the hides causing damage to them. Can anyone who hunts wolves or even coyotes heard of this or possibly explain what this problem may or may not be.

I don't doubt the possible danger of the parasites and cysts. But are there any studies or cases that have the numbers of humans that actually contract the cysts? Or the actual number of livestock that are infected?
Not saying it doesn't happen, but if it doesn't happen then........
I am by no means "for" wolf reintroduction nor am I remotely against hunting them.
But I mean everything causes cancer these days too.

Always makes me cringe a little to see pictures of guys handling them without gloves on for this very reason.
