I am currently using a leupold 1-5x but after 400 yards I can't get consistant hits on the pesky ptarmigan am now looking at getting a 2.5-10x.
I am looking at a nightforce 2.5-10x32 but haven't decided if I want a velocity reticle or a basic reticle and adjust for each shot. My other choice is a vortex viper 2.5-10x40. Price really isn't the concern but if both scopes are proven repeatable why not get the vortex? They both come with illuminated reticles and zero stop.
