Anyone purchased an xcaliber barrel lately?

I've got an xcaliber from early on that shoots really good. It was a blank chambered by Apache gun works. I've heard some negative feedback since then. Just wondering if they have gotten any better or is it still a gamble? I probably won't go that route but I'm just curious. My wheels are always turning in my head about possible projects.
