A friend of mine tried it when he was having trouble getting Varget to load ammo for F-T/R. He said he got poor results with it in his .308 with 178 AMAX's, but didn't give specifics and I didn't ask.
Bear in mind that IMR 4007 SSC has been discontinued.
I considered trying it with the heavies, that and H414 but couldn't find either locally and something about that haz-mat fee just doesnt sit well with me.
4895 is your friend!!! Ive been loading 308 for 40 years and ive tried about everything (have to admit never tried 4007) and keep coming back to 4895. Its won more matches with the 308 and 06s then all the others combined.
