I have a few Barnes 130gr (discontinued) I want to load up. But also want any advice for this cartridge as it has been very particular so far. Best results yet are the 150gr Accubond and 67.5gr of H4831.
Thank you,
Stoney

I did lots of testing for my 7mm wsm last summer. Didn't get anything "Decent" until I started using the 162 gr Hornady interlok, (I suspect) because it was able to seat up to the lands, while the 139gr and 154 gr interbond were not. The magazine length on my ultimate shadow restricts the COL. I ended up with H1000 powder, but still not completely satisfied.

I get LOTS of fouling with this gun despite several treatments of JB, attempting to hone the barrel.

I'm going to do some ladder tests, once my chrony arrives.

If anyone else has tips on the 7mm wsm, please post them.

thanks,

I am using 67grs.of imr7828ssc with a 160 accubond, 215m primer and winchester brass at 3040 fps. 7828ssc is the best powder i have tried in my rifle.

I get good to great results in my 7WSM with H1000 and RL-25, but I've only run the 175 Sierra smk, 180 JLK, and 180 bergers.

I have good luck with H1000, and Retumbo,a little more speed with the Retumbo with less pressure. My favorite is 70.5 grains of Retumbo under a 175 Match King.Speed for this load is 2930.This is near max load in my rifle, start lower and work up to be safe.

I also ended up with H1000/Fed215GM in the 7wsm with a 162 Amax (favorite) and 175 SMK
Tried many ladders and group comparisons with combinations of H4831sc, Retumbo, H1000, 162Amax, 175 SMK, 180 Berger.
The 180 Bergers tested marginal in my 9.5 twist, just started to show promise, at the same time I hit max pressure.
I would suspect H4831sc would work the best for 150's and lower.

My Load

For hunting whitetail I use 69gr. of RL 19 and a Nosler Ballistic tip 140 gr. bullet---runs 3210 fps. w/a 27 in barrel and is very accurate
