I've been hearing that off and on for at least 10 years. Alliant Powder is owned by Vista Outdoor which also owns Federal, Speer, CCI, RCBS, and a couple of other divisions I can't remember right now. (I think Savage is amongst them.) Vista was spun off from ATK early last year. I really doubt that there's any truth to the rumors. There would have been some sort of official announcement. There are some Hodgdon/IMR powders that are made at the same facilities that make some Alliant powders, but that's a 3rd party supplier manufacturing the powders to the specs of the individual companies.
