Has anyone had any experience with the PE scope from accumounts? Id really like to put the scope on the side of my mosin.

You need to have a rifle already drilled and tapped for that mount, so you need an Ex-sniper PE or PEM

Bruce Dow at Dow Arms Room in Dade City Fl is finishing up the mounting of a Accumount side PEM mount with an original Russian PEM scope for me now. The original holes did not line up and had to be replugged and redrilled. It is going to cost me more than any ready to go PU setup but I had a pristine ex sniper PEM and found an original Russian PEM scope really cheap that was pristine. Original PEM side mounts can go for $2k so that was out.

I would suggest you call and talk to them (just google Dow Arms Room) before going down this path UNLESS you have an Ex sniper PE/PEM already.

You can buy a recent MOLOT import or others in a PU setup for way less money than this is going to cost you.

If im correct ,correct me if im wrong, but the only difference between the PU sniper and the 91/30 was that the PU was equipped with a PU scope. And the rifles were hand picked for accuracy. And you can drill and tap the receiver yourself. But im gonna have another guy do it for $25 per hole. Whether it be the side mount or the top mount.

What do yall think about a vortex viper hs-t on it?

The PU sniper is a 91/30 supposedly hand selected and follow on to the PE and PEM sniper's
.
If I was going to drill and tap a non sniper I would use the PE top mount and not the side mount.

I think you will find that the receivers are extremely hard and you will break several drill bits and taps. No way I would attempt that.

There are several no drill mounts that will work. Better yet normally a couple already converted for sale on GunBroker.
