Did a little shopping today and found these 2 little Jems! That 117 Sierra ain't no spring Chicken but it shoots just as well as the 115 VLD out of my Cooper! Really happy to get the Norma brass too!!

Great score! Never tried those out of my 25-06….but 90gr Absolute Hammers going 3640 fps have been working wonderfully on whitetails for me.
What bbl length and powder are you running? Thought i was doing good with 110gr ABs at 3200, but that hammer load is downright stonky!!
Thanks in advance.

Yeah, that is fast! I'm loading the 117 on 53.0 flat of H4831 for 3070 fps. Had some H4831sc left over and tried that. Same accuracy but picked up 70 fps with the short cut at 3140. I would be very interested to load some of those 90 grain hammers. They probably pack a Whollop!

I've shot 4 deer with it to date with 4 shots fired. One bang flop at about 60 yards that didn't even twitch. 2 does at 200 yards and they both ran about 35-40 yards in a circle before piling up. Then this year a 5x5 at 150 yards that went maybe 20-25 yards before going down.

In general, the internals turn to soup, but there is very little bloodshot meat.
