A little help please

I have plenty of clearance as of now with my scopes bell to the barrel. I appreciate all the ideas and sounds like I have some more research. I have contemplated have joe dacos (sp) make my game scout an adjustable stock. I think I'll try some re configuring with the scope rings and mounts before I do something permanent.

I have thought about removing the 20moa rail and doing a 0 MoA rail but am unclear how much it will lower the whole set up. I will consider other mounts if there are suggestions. I would like to keep the rings as rugged/consistent as possible. I have plenty of room between the 42mm objective and the barrel.

I have the NXS 5-22x50. I use Tally "lite" base/ring set. The set up puts the bell @ an eighth of an inch over the barrel. I have had rails before — same issue as you describe.
*Try to ditch the rail
* Assess option of a lower ring-base
set up.
