Not exactly long range equipment (until i figure the trajectory out and prove it in paper), but an interesting rifle all the same. I just built my self a 9.3x62. Its a Parker Hale action, which happens to have an 03 springfield bolt, Lothar Walther heavey sporter barrel, 1 in 14" twist. Hogue Overmoulded (full bedding block, and bedded with Devcon)Stock, Ken Farrel Picatinny rail (a Santa Barbra rail i machined it to fit the parker hale action), custom bottom metal (which isn't finnished yet) everything is coated in Gunkote OD Green. Mike Miller Tactical Intervention sniper sling, I mounted my Schmidt & Bender 3-12x50PMII in Badger Ord 34mm rings on to the rifle, here are a couple of photo's if you are interested, including the first game that fell to it.

should make a good general purpose Africa , Elk/Moose, wild boar, rifle. There are also some pictures of my 30-06, also built by me, Border Barrels 5R 1 in 10. trued Remington 700, HS precision stock, 4-16x50PMII, Lapwood Husher moderator. Pete

Pete,
Hope you are well. Spent last week in Scotland having a go at the hinds. Awesome time despite 2 extreme weather warnings!

Your album link asks for a password; consequently couldn't view the photos...sounds like an interesting set-up though!

I have someone working on some heavy 9.3mm bullets along with some match grade bullets that should help out for long range shooting.

OK i fixed the password problem, i forgot to enable public view, sorry guys, go take a look now.
Brown Dog, did you get me email about the wind meter? glad you enjoyed Scotland.
Texan, those match grade bullets would be interesting..Ive only treid one sort of ammo, ( Geco factory stuff) in it so far, give it a range test between xmas and new years,,

Pete,

Yes, many thanks, I got your email. Apologies for not getting back! In the end I tracked down this:

http://www.jdc.ch/fr/xplorer4.html

Which only cost around £70. It does just about everything (although the tea it makes tastes like **** /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

Congrats on the rifle; and some pretty good bucks!
Particularly intrigued by the rifle finish -self applied or a Bundesrepublik (or UK) specialist?

Is 9.3 enough gun for Roe? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
