7mm Rem Mag 168 Berger Remington 700 Long Range

I have been trying out Reloder 26 in my 7WSM. I am getting about 150-200 fps faster velocity over the H1000 I had been using. I think Alliant has the load data on their website. Anyways, might be worth looking into.

Update

I tried my loads with the H1000. Best I could get was 3/4 inch with 69.0. Today I tried retumbo like previously suggested. Only got to try 2 loads. But both shot sub 1/2 moa. One shot about 69.2 shot .48 inches. 69.7 shot .39 inches. I'm hoping that it will keep getting better with the hotter charges.

I did a ladder test two days ago with the 168 Berger and Retumbo. Hit an accuracy node between 68.5 and 69.5. Had definite signs of pressure, ejector swipe and sticky bolt, at 72.0. Fired one round at 71.5 with no noticeable sign of pressure. In my setup Berger's manual is pretty close to right on for max load.

I do not have a 7mmRM, but I have heard great results with IMR 7828 and 160-168gr bullets.

I've run about 500 168 gr bullets through my 7mmRM using RE-19, H1000, MagPro, Retumbo, RE-22, IMR 4350, H4831SC and IMR 7828SSC.

I get the best accuracy/velocity with 66.40gr IMR 7828SSC. Shooting just over 3,000fps and sub MOA groups (when I do my part correctly). Using a 26 inch Pac-Nor super match barrel.
