Been reloading for my Tikka. So far I've shot nosler 130,and 1250gr bullets.
The 120s really impressed me, puting 2 bullets In the same hole twice.
I'm curious what are some other great shooting bullets

Are you looking for heavier bullets?
Check with user Pharmseller on NorthwestFirearms. He shoots the T3x in 7mm-08, quite well.
FWIW, if you're getting one-hole groups, look no further.

I like experimenting . Just like to know some other options. I'll probably stay under 140 grains..
I like the lighter stuff for target shooting.

Yeah, I'd have Tikka owners weigh in. I have a Hawkeye and could not get 140 VLD Hunters to shoot. Recently did work ups for Lehigh 142 coppers and found two nodes that shot 1/8 & 3/16 MOA. YMMV

I've shot the 120 ballistic tips, 120 gr sierras, 130 speers ,145 speers, 139 Hornady, 140 gr sierras,150 ballistic tips and the 154 Hornady bullets from my tc pro hunter. Out of all those it loves the 120 gr ballistic tips over a healthy dose of imr 4064. It's shooting 2985 Fps average
All the others shoot ok most right at an inch. I've tried varget powder also and my groups opened up substantially. Apparently I have the only 7mm08 in the world that don't like varget. My sons 7 mm08 likes it and shoots every bullet that I listed very well most under 3/4 mos. He personally likes the 120 gr sierras the best He says they kill the best.

Been using the 7mm-08 for a long long time now and for the lighter bullets I agree the 120gr Ballistic tips shoot really good and the Sierra 120gr Prohunters as well. The 120gr Ballistic Tip is the bullet that shoots best in my wife's rifle, 0.20" groups.

The Sierra 100gr Varmints are also very accurate, under quarter MOA groups as well.

Mine likes the139gr SST better and Interlocks too.

On both rifles140gr Sierra Gamekings and Prohunters shoot cloverleaf groups as well. 140gr Accubonds also shoot great under half MOA. I have not tried any 130gr bullets in a while.

On the heavier side the 150gr Sierra Matchkings with IMR-4350 are crazy accurate, I use these for Silhouette competition.

Several 160gr and 162gr bulleta also shoot really good on both rifles.

Cool thanks for the suggestions.
I don't know if I should stick with rl17, or try something else.
I'd say it's ok, it doesn't wow me.

IMR-4064 has worked great for me with 100gr, 120gr, 139gr and 140gr bullets so far.

With 139gr and 140gr bullets I'm at just over 2,800 fps, with the 120gr right at 3,000 fps and with the 100gr just under 3,200 fps.

I've had no temp sensitivity issues with it so far. Some people love Varget but I haven't tried it, I have too much 4064 still and l really don't have a reason to try it.

I ve had really good luck with 2 different 7-08 s and the Hornady 139 BTSP. Shoots well with Varget, H380 and H4350. I ll bet 4064 and others will work well also.

This bullet has a short bearing surface and 2900 fps is easy with a 22" + barrel.

As a guy who loves to play with the latest greatest bullet stuff, the tried and true 150gr NBT shoots bugholes in my 7-08. They are fairly economical and have always given me one shot drops on whitetail.

I have a few boxes of these 150gr BT and I set up some loads to test with IMR-4895 but with everything going on I have not been able to try them out.

The BTSP Interlocls are deadly accurate and they kill fast. It is a great bullet.
