I have one of the sunny hill bottom metal assemblies. It is well built good quality! It is heavy stainless steel so don't buy it if you are trying to save a few ounces. Also it does not fit a standard bdl footprint so you will have to inlet the stock to fit. Other than that it is a good option.

I got a cheap one for a 7 mag and hated it. Sent it back and got one from Stocky's that I love. Take a look. It's not light, but it's not crap either.

As far as I can tell the difference is the location and working of the latch.

The bottom is the sunny hill obendorf and the top is a stainless steel PTG standard BDL. .

If you don't mind paying $400 + for bottom metal, Sunny Hill is a nice part.

I didn't want to pay that much so I bought Dakota bottom metal for about $250.
