A friend of mine posted a question on another website with an issue he had with his 7 LRM.
He was loading the 175 LRAB and crushed the nose of one while seating it. It only happened with one of 20 cases.

Asked for some dimensions to discover the necks to be quite thick. Loaded ammo is .3185" which makes for neck wall thickness of just over .017". He was using a Hornady bushing die with a .315 bushing. I suggest he try he .316 bushing or maybe even a .317.

After thinking about this I looked at Gunwerks pdf file on the 7 LRM:

The specs call for a .318 loaded neck!!

I have no idea what the chamber neck dimension is on their reamer. Can any owners share that information?

I would think that brass this thick would be a good candidate for neck turning provided the neck clearance doesn't become too great.

Finally has anyone encountered .017" neck wall or larger?

Misspelled thickness on title. Darned if I know how to edit it!
