7-30 Wayers

I'm looking for opinions on the 7-30 Waters. Likes and dislikes?? Currently considering building a Contender in this caliber.

had one for a short time in a Model 94 Winchester built loads with 120gr bullets. Gave to a nephew who sold it for money. Was a nice rifle and caliber

I've had, several Contender Barrels over the last 30 Years and, the 21" 7 X 30 Waters, IS,.. the only One that, I still,.. HAVE.
I like it, very much with, 120 Ballistic Tip's at, 2,600 to 2,700 FPS for, a light weight ( approx., 5 pounds, w/ 2x7 Burris, E-1, Scope ) for, Deer / Coyote's.
The Burris, E-1 Grids, are Sighted and Verified for,.. Zero at 100, then, 200, 300 and 400 Yds.
The 120 Bal tip is, Perfect as, it shoots about, 1 MOA or, less with good velocity and easily managable, recoil ( 140 Game kings, shot good, too ! ).
It's easy to, make / "form" Brass as .30-30 cases are, CHEAPLY & easily, obtainable !
I WON'T part with, this One !
