You guys were in some wild country for sure. Dandy of a bull. Thanks for sharing the pics. Curious about the gun with the wolf too.
 
It's a 338 Ruger 77 mkII. I had the barrel shortened and fluted, the metal work bead blasted, the action smoothed and trigger set at 2 3/4 lbs. Then I dropped it in a take off from a Ruger Alaskan, topped it with a Zeiss 4 1/2x14x44.

Longest kill with it was 475yds.
 
I have a mark 2 as well and just starting to get it ready for shooting longe range. I noticed your rings have one taller in the back and one shorter up front, why is that ,will I need to for a vortex viper

Those are the Ruger rings that came with the gun....I suppose they are all like that.
