6.8 spc ??

I can get a very good deal on a Remington LTR in 6.8SPC.
I need to know what cal. I can rechamer to to get a good deer rifle.
It has a .277 bore but is a short action rifle.
Could it be taken to a 270 WSM?

Any other factory .277 cartridge will require reworking the bolt face and some magazine mods, but you could rechamber to 270 WSM without setting the barrel back. Your decision is whether it's worth the effort versus just buying a 270 WSM. Do you really want an LTR as a hunting rifle?
