Although it can be done (has been done) I would not advise it. The diameter of the head of the WSM case combined with the pressure which you would normally run a WSM in a bolt action is to much for the Encore (flexing, which leads to case head seperation). You can use a WSM safely in a Encore, but you would need to load it down some. To me that defeats the purpose of the WSM to begin with. A 270 Win AI would likely give the same performance safely than you could get with the WSM.
