I have some New Nosler PRC Brass and some Once fired Hornady from factory loads. I don't have much time to experiment before my Wife's Elk hunt. Has anyone tried both, if so you thoughts on the difference in softness, quality, inc.?
Thanks

I worked up a load using Hornady brass. Then tried that load in Nosler brass. Got pressure right away with brass being hard to eject. I sold / traded all the Nosler brass for Hornady. Not due to quality of one versus the other, but didn't feel like reworking the load. I've been using Hornady brass with no problems. Some of that brass has 8 firings so far.

I have loaded both in 300wsm. The Hornady has a little more case room. Both reload just fine for hunting.

You will more than likely find more case-to-case consistency with the Nosler i.e. weight, length, etc.

If quantity is equal, i'd run the Nosler. That being said, I've had pretty darn good overall luck with Hornady brass; i'm definitely not afraid of it.
