6.5 GAP 4S. IMR 4955

This powder has been discontinued by the manufacturer. For the saum there are better options to use but if you currently have a large amount of 4955 you could do some experimenting I guess.

I have not personally tried this combo so take this information lightly. I'm simply extrapolating from other data in other cartridges. Maybe someone with QL could chime in.

For most cartridges I've seen that are comparable (IE 270 WSM and/or 7 SAUM) 4955 charge weight range sits about 5 - 5.5gr below H1000 for the same projectile. I consider the working range of the 6.5 SAUM/140 Berger/H1000 to be 58.0 - 61.0gr. That being said I would be extra safe and start at 51.0 or 52.0gr and work up from there.
