I can't find any reloading data for my 6.5-300 weatherby and the factory willnot even give me the type of powder they use with the 127 grn barns. Can anyone help?

I have an old reloading manual from the 70's i think that has reloading data for the 6.5-300 Wby. If I can find it I'll post a pic or scan of the page.

Have you checked with Berger for load data? I went to them for my 6.5-300 WBY. Also, there is some data in Weatherby Nation for the new 6.5-300.

Here it is. This is from Sierra's 1971 load manual. The same data is in the 1978 edition I have, but the glossy pages did not take as good of pictures. I actually have a bunch of old Sierra manuals I got from an older guy who sold me all of his reloading gear, and past the '78 manual, the 6.5-300 Weatherby isn't in there.

The page give's a little cartridge history, dimensions, and load data. Only problem is it is only for the 140 grain match king, and I've never heard of these powders. I suppose if you could find out what modern powders are really similar, you could use this to get of an idea what would be a good starting load and work up carefully from there. There are all copper projectiles in the 140 grain class out there too, if you can stabilize them.

Good luck finding the powder used in the those loads

Yeah, I'd contact the powder manufacturers directly and see if there is anything currently available that would closely approximate those loads. Or maybe contact Sierra since it came from their manual.
