Any consensus on how the burn rate of the powders compare? I know 568 is cut shorter, but curious if it burns slightly faster and might be more suitable for the lighter mono bullets in the bigger cartridges. Thanks for any info!

I just looked at the Vihtavouri app.
Loading for 300 Win Mag, 230 grain Berger,
N568 tops out at 79.5 grains at 2713fps,
N570 tops out at 75.3 grains at 2707 fps.

They currently only show the N568 down to 170 grain Lapua projectile but no data for N570 to compare. They've been adding data for N568 fairly regularly lately. Hope this helps give you a point of reference.

I was running N570 with 180 and 195 Bergers in a 7Max. When I went to 131 Hammers I switched to H4831sc and got over 3500 fps with accuracy. I doubt N568 or N570 would achieve that but haven't tried it either…

As a side note, N570 burns hotter than most and very dirty, leaves plenty of residue behind on the crown and brake (or suppressor).

I'm interested in this info as well.

I'll try to get @Can2Juan involved, as he is the only member that I know personally that has a good deal of experience with both powders.

**Weird edit - GLTaylor, your post count right now, on the post above me is 1911! Sorry, that just struck me funny/cool!
Cool! And I didn't notice it🤪

Sorry guys I've been packing all evening for a trip, just now reading this post.

So the only experience I have with N570 and N568 is with heavy bullets in the 7mag and 28 Nosler. i have tried both powders a
in multiple rifles and each one handled the 180s or 195s different. I found that in a Xbolt 7 mag with a 8 twist it would just keep getting more and more consistent, accurate and pick up fps until I got to a full case of N570. In a bergara 7mag with a 8 1/2 twist it would peak pressure at low loads with N570, so I tried N568 and it picked up accuracy and fps as the loads went higher. What I'm saying is you just have to try them both out and see what your rifle likes. Start low and go up 1 gr at a time until you see and feel pressure in the bolt lift or on the case . That's how I do it, Im sure there is different ways that work great but I know how to do it the way I was tough by my father 30 years ago.
As far as the lighter monos I have tried N570 in a 300 wby under 180 HH and it did not like it. I'm sure Butterbean has more experience and can answer for that. My 180 HH load is with a faster powder H4350 and shoots lights out, I've taken practice shots with great accuracy out to 1000 yards and consistent hit an 8" plate at 800.
I will be traveling tomorrow so I'll look when I can guys, good luck.

I'm planning to shoot either the 181 or 199 HH in a 300 NMI. I have N560, N565, N568 & N570 to work with. Thank you for the info! Enjoy your trip dude!

Please keep me posted on how it goes since I have been thinking the same with my NMI.
Sure thing Rick! I haven't received my rifle yet, so i'll be patiently waiting haha. I almost actually bought yours due to my lack of patience lol. But I need to just wait and get my exact preference build. But that's a sweet gun!!

When you said lighter monos I was thinking you were looking to go down a lot further in weight to chase higher velocities.

I've been working on a load for a 300 PRC with 24" barrel, using the 199 hammer hunter and N570. 81.5 grains got me to 3040 fps. You'll likely pickup a bit of speed with the 300 Norma. I think either 568 or 570 are what you'd want with the 199. I've got a 9 twist barrel and to be honest, would prefer a faster twist with the 199's, I think 1/8 would be ideal for the 199's but couldn't find anyone to make that barrel without waiting a long time.

I'm also running the 178 Absolute hammer in a 300 win mag with a 10 twist 24" barrel using H4350 I'm running that at 3,280 and it's amazingly accurate out to 500 yards

Awesome! Thanks dude! It looks like N570 is still winning in both the 180 and 200+gr. weight classes.

Yeah that was confusing for me to say lighter monos haha. But the gun is built for the 230 Berger, so I I'm just thinking that 181 was pretty light lol.

I also have a 1-9 twist is leaning me more toward the 181 as well for extra stability.

Not really pertaining to the cartridges mentioned but when I put new barrel on my 300 RUM I started out with N570. Collected a fair amount among with N,565. I had always used Retumbo. Was awesome in other barrel. I haven't even tried it yet in new barrel ! N570 was so accurate and low ES and SD. I'm pushing 215 Bergers at 3240 fps. Below pressure. This year I'm going to try Retumbo. Maybe a couple others. H-1000 was good with 181 Hammer. 3400 plus fps. in. Bartlien barrel. Going from memory without looking at notes . I don't care how dirty N570 is. All are dirty. Works for me.
