H1000 VS N570 ( 28 nosler)

Im starting to reload the same what is your minimum reload just tonget an idea where i can start, im using hornady brass, 195 eol, federal 215m primer, and N570 just not sure where to start..was looking to start at 79gr and make my way to 82 gr..can you help me out or am i on the right track

You are right. If you have a long throat I have gone up to 83.5 which is 3200 but brought it back down to 82.3 at 3120. If you have a saami chamber 80 would be around max.

I have a browning xbolt max lr hunter
Im loading -.20 of the lands. I just tried 78.3 retumbo today and she started to show pressure and i wasn't happy with the group. 77.5 was ok but not what im looking for 3016fp..im told N570 would be better and cleaner..

Well don't know about cleaner. Sounds like a saami throat. Start lower then with n570 and work up. You will probably pressure out at 3050 with n570 but I maybe wrong. Good luck.

With the saami chambers which is what you have most will max out around 78 with retumbo and 77 with h1000. With n570 you will probably max at 78 to 79 but have better speeds. If you want more then have it throated longer.

Unknown munitions started the test pack at around 79.5 or 79.7 and went to 81. I had such good results with h1000 that I never even got to the n570 loads.

What velocities were you getting with the H1000?
I ended up going with 79.5 grains of H, waiting on the next 50 pack. This load shot just as good as the load with 78.9. When the pack shows up I will get a chrono on it. Im hoping out of the 26 inch proof ( 8.24 twist) and a 8 inch suppressor it will be going over 3,000 fps.

For what is worth I was playing with retumbo following Berger's recommendation with a 195 and presently I am at 80 grains jumping 10 with fed 215M and ADG brass with no pressure and running 3021fps and seems to be shooting well. Don't know if I will try to push it more due to shooting pretty consistent. Below photo is a test with 4 shots that I didn't worry about centering up but just wanted to see if it would be consistent and repeatable.

Has anyone tried using IMR 7977? Too slow, too hot etc?

7977 is the equivalent burn rate of H1000. Min charge for both are typically identical in the reloading data I've seen published.

8133 is very close to Retumbo supposedly.

That whole IMR line was touted to have improved temp stability. Probably not as good as the Hodgdon extreme line but very good from 20-80F.

It was also supposed to have anti-coppering agents.

Interesting. I thought N570 was quite a bit slower than H1000, closer to RL33.
I got lots of info from the Berger company today and the N570 was the fastest.
I got info on the RL-33, N570 H1000 and Retumbo.
And they said for the 28 nosler and the 7mm rem mag N570 was the better and faster bullet. In the 195 EOL & 168 VLD
