I had Accuracy X build me a custom hunting 1911 pistol. It is a long slide in 10mm. From the field trials videos it looks like I'll be able to hit a coyote at well over 100 yards.
This link is the gun finishing its field trials by consecutively hitting a regulation steel ram target at 500 yards!
Yes, a single shot pistol chambered for a rifle cartridge could do the same. I have a couple of those those but this 1911 will be fun!
