Looking for shooters with experience with 300-350gr bullets in .458cal. Which bullet has high BC in this weight with good accuracy out to 150yds?
Thanks

It's been quite a while, but I was able to get sub 1MOA with my Shilo Sharps 45-70 at 200 yards using Hornady 350gr round nose SP's with IMR 3031. Open sights.

I have a pile of sealed box Hornady 300-325- 405 gr bullets I will never use as sold my 45-70 recently. Will sell them at half pice of midway for reference sake. If you/anyone interested can pm me.

actually several do. The Hornaday evolution bullets are good for 300 yards, and even the standard mid 300 grain bullets work well. 150 yards isn't that much to worry about.
You never said what round your shooting. The actual rifle has more to do with it than the bullet itself at 150 yards.

For 150 yards you need not worry about the bc of the bullet. I use 300gr cutting edge bullets in my .458 socom and take game out past 150 all the time.

Thanks guys, I think I'll try the Hornady in 300gr. Tesoro, I'll PM you if the Hornady performs well in this 45/70.

I have had good luck with the hornady 325 FTX and the Barnes ttsx from 4570 and 458 socom. They will whomp whitetail deer lol, but have not gotten to shoot anything else with them. No bullets have been recovered fwiw.
