I am using RCBS dies to reload 45 acp, the seater die has a built in crimp, I am going to use a Lee factory crimp die for the taper crimp and only use the RCBS to seat the bullet, my question is, the die only screws into the press less than 3/4 inch before the taper starts to engage the brass, is this enough engagement to be accurate ?

Also from this point I am seating to 1.250 " and only half of the case gets into the die body when seating the bullet, is this adequate for decent ammo or should I be looking for a seater die that only seats and has more engagement ?

Thanks Scott
