This is an 8.5 twist barrel. Sorry for the confusion with the image. The barrel was marked incorrectly and we are currently fixing the marking.
The rifle has never been fired but we offer a 1/2" MOA guarantee with match grade ammo.

With all of the fluting on the barrel and bolt, I am surprised that the rifle weight is so high. What is the biggest contributor to the weight?

The barrel and the action are the two heaviest parts. The barrel is a Remington Varmint contour which is heavier than some lighter contour barrels. The flutes do help with weight reduction but are not as much as a carbon fiber barrel.
